This is not a technical 100 point wine scale but a rather a simple and easy to understand and use scale for any wine lover. The key to keeping this simple is to keep it real, so be honest.

Satisfaction, are you satisfied with the wine?
No = 75 points
Yes = 80 points
Love, do you love the wine?
No = 80 points
Yes = 85 points
Commitment, are you committed to buy a bottle of the wine? (if you already bought one, you would buy it again.)
No = 85 points
Yes = 90 points
Recommend it to a friend to purchase (meaning you're actually going to insist they buy it)
No = 90 points
Yes = 95 points
Would you buy a case of the wine? (meaning you have your cash in hand or plastic out to buy it)
No = 95 points
Yes = 100 points

My goal with The Simplest 100 pt Wine Tasting Scale is for any wine lover to communicate with their friends & family about a wine and easly define how they derived at the rating they have given it. So do me a favor and use my simple 100 pt wine tasting scale and tell me about the wines you tasted.

Thanks & Cheers to you!
Marty Morales

2007 Smooking Loon California Chardonnay is the 1st Wine I rated with my new Simplest 100 pt Wine Tasting Scale.

http://www.donandsons.com/threeloosescrews/smokingloon/chardonnay.php

Wine Guy Rating 85

Holiday Wine Shopping

Ahh the holidays are upon us again and it's time to gear up for the festivities with our friends & family. Time to get out the decorations, plan for the food and wine, and polish up those holiday traditions that make our time together even more special.

To help you out William James Rosser, the wine guy from Reserve Wines which is located in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas, has put together a wine list that's sure to compliment your holiday festivities.

1. 2008 Saintsbury Garnet Pinot Noir, Carneros: $29.25
2. 2006 Domaine de Colette Morgon, Grand Cru Beaujolais: $22.50
3. 2007 Summers Charbono, Napa: $23.95
4. 2008 Lioco Chardonnay, Sonoma: $30.00
5. 2006 Zmor Gewurztraminer, Russian River Valley: $21.75
6. 2005 August Kesseler Silvaner/Riesling, Rheingau: $14.50
7. NV De Faveri Prosecco Colli Travigiani: $23.00
8. NV Bruno & George Strawberry Wine, Texas: $15.95
9. Margaine Le Brut Premier Cru Champagne: $58.50

Ram Gottumukkala is the proprieter of Reserve Wines and he offers FREE wine tastings every week. This week his wine tastings included NV Bruno & George Collection Signature Peach Wine ($13.95) and Raspeberry Wine ($15.95) both of which are from Sour Lake, Texas. These wines are produced by Shawn & Misha Bruno and they preserved the legacy of Shawn's Grandfather's Salvatore Bruno's original family recipe which was established in the rolling hills of Salaparuta, Sicily, circa 1889. Both these wines were a pleasant and exceptional surprise and a must for my holiday table. It's going to be a great compliment to my Thanksgiving Dinner table and sure to please my friends and family. If you don't believe me then ask Angela Flournoy who is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana and now lives in Las Colinas. Flournoy was browsing the store for just the right wine and was pleasantly surprised by these wines too and went home with a bottle of the Bruno & George Raspberry Wine.

Learn more about Bruno & George at http://www.brunoandgeorge.com/

Visit Reserve Wines at
5910 N McArthur Blvd, #139, Irving, TX 75039
Phone: 972-373-9463

Until my next entry, have a happy and safe holiday season!
